Back In The Saddle

After a very long break (15 years), maybe the best rockabilly band in Serbia, Vampiri, will perform in front of the audience.

They will perform at Sava Centar on March 15th, starting 20:00h! This concert was scheduled for several times by now, but never held! This time, there will be no excuses! All of those who have bought the ticket for concert of "Vampiri" that was scheduled for February 10th will use that ticket - you don't have to buy another one!

"Vampiri" will perform as a six-member band, led by frontman Aleksandar Eraković-Era. From the original cast there is still Dejan Tomović-Tomke, playing the keyboard. New members are: Damjan Dašić - drums and vocal, Marko Calić - solo guitar and vocal and Andreja Bucan - sax.

The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy listening to the hits from five albums after a very long time. Some of the hits are: Rama-lama-ding-dong, Ljubav je san, Malena, Plavi grad, Be-be, Subota uveče, Zaljubljena tinejdžerka...
Although they have always emphasized that they are playing doo-wop music, in the media they were often seen as followers of rockabilly or rockabilly-pop tradition. According to Petar Janjatović's Ex-Yu Rock Encyclopedia, the music of band "Vampiri" was characterized by carefully pressed vocal lines and simple musical matrix.

"Vampiri" have recorded five albums and they have been very popular. They held numerous concerts, including two solo concerts at Sava Centar, on February 14th in year 1992nd and 1993th. There is also a concert footage from the Sava Centar from February 14th 1993, which supposed to appear as a panel. Although a remix of this clip was made, the project was never realized. Vampires have recorded over 50 songs, some of which were remixes of doo-wop hits from the 1950s. The most popular song of this band is "Rama lama ding dong".

"Vampiri" has announced "crazy ride" through a musical time machine on March 15th.
