These are the places that attract millions of visitors. Among Top 10 places there are three locations only in New York. That's why we won't mention pyramids, which are visited by four million people, or Taj Mahal, with 3 million visit. Comparing 39 million people, which are visiting New York in one year, that's really nothing.
These are Top 10 most visited world attractions:
1. Times Square, New York City
In one year this place is visited by 39 million tourists. They must have been attracted by mega stores, shows on Broadway and others spectacles.
38 million people pass through this park in one year. This is the most famous park, it's situated on Manhattan and has a lot to offer: carriages, zoo, castle from the nineteenth century...
3. Union Station, Washington, D.C.
This station was builted in year 1907 and has 37 million visitors a year. Besides its beauty, this is also a place where are open 70 outlet stores, so it's shopping destination.
Most visited avenue through which pass 29.5 million people a year. Regardless of the crisis, their business is going pretty well. The movie "Hangover" from 2009. year helped them a lot to gain popularity. Last year, 80% of tourists have stayed in a hotel from this movie.
5. Niagara Falls, New York and Ontario
Great waterfalls on the border of Canada and the United States annually are visited by 22.5 million tourists. Falls are high between 21 and 57 meters. There are unleast five hundreds of falls that are higher, but Niagara Falls are most visited.
6. Grand Central Terminal, New York City
Central Terminal is visited by 21.600.000 tourists in one year. It's popular because of many stores, lighting sky map and Oyster Bar from the serie "Mad Men", in which are served two million meals of fresh shellfish in one year.
7. Faneuil Hall Market Place, Boston
This market, where Samuel Adams and George Washington made there speaches in year 1742, is visited by 18 million people a year. Today there is a a hundred of food specialty shops and a pedestrian zone is filled with street entertainers and tourists.
Theme parks are popular all over the world, but this is the most visited one with 16.972.000 visitors a year. Families see that the best party is in one of many fairy tales, which are made in a life-size. Imagine a pirate of the Caribbean, Cinderella, Dambo...
9. Disneyland Park, Anaheim, CA
Disney World is next by the number of visits with 15,980,000 people. The most fun ride through the adventures of Indiana Jones.
10. Grand Bazaar, Istanbul
The only attraction which is among Top 10 but isn't in USA. Istanbul's Bazaar is visited by 15 million people a year. Bazzar is from XV century. This is the place where you can find hand-painted ceramics, oriental painted lamps, carpets, gold, but also the kebab and Turkish coffee!
