New Year's Eve 2012. in Belgrade on Square

You don't have the money, you have had enough of classic New Year's Eve parties in Belgrade clubs, you don't have the idea for organizing an interesting private party - if you have some of these problems, you can find the answer at streets of Belgrade. In this New Year's Eve party people in Belgrade will have the opportunity to hear the music of well-known performers - “Plavi orkestar”, “Galija”, “Van Gog”, Sergej Ćetković. Besides this you can expect other interesting things, not only in night between 31st of December and January the 1st.

 In Belgrade everybody is talking about New Year's Eve on the beginning of December. It isn't matter any more does anyone hope to have a better life in year 2012. - everybody searching for the great place where they should be at midnight. Clubs, restaurants, river clubs, concert halls in Belgrade - all of them want to make the best offer. All of this can be very annoying and the streets of Belgrade offer a different kind of fun - they offer you to spend New Year's Eve on Square, where you don't need any special organizing, you can't be late with buying the tickets, not everything is planed and predictable, you purchase your own drink and food, by your own choice...

Traditional concert and fireworks in front of the the National Assembly

 

In front of the building of National Assembly for New Year's Eve will be organized traditional concert and fireworks. Well-known singers will perform. First will perform band "Galija" (21h). After them  "Plavi orkestar" (22.30). When they are finished, the counting and fireworks will start with the sounds of New Year waltz. In new 2012. year the first one who will perform will be band "Van Gog" and for the end of the program will sing Sergej Ćetković (1.30). The host of the program which will be called "Belgrade - the town of the open heart" will be Ivon Jafali. During the night will be shown video recordings of the New Year greeting cards on the video screen. This cards are dedicated to people from Belgrade from the most successful sportsmen in Serbia.

 

Besides the party in front of National Assembly building, people in Belgrade will have the opportunity to enjoy in cultural and entertainment program. Ice skating stage on the Belgrade stage at Nikola Pasic Square will be open from 9th December to 31st January. During this period on a same place will be organized more then 40 music programs. "Zemlja gruva", Marčelo, "Kal", "Sevdah bejbi" and many others will perform. There will be free skating courses, schools of curling, hockey tournament...

 

 

Square of the open heart on Trg Republike - This event will be actual from 12.12.2011. to 20.1.2012.year. Trg Republike will be decorated with wooden booths and stalls, as it used to be in town squares. You will be able to buy souvenirs, as well as boiled wine, coffee, hot chocolate and food. Guests will drink from a special New Year's cup, which will cost 150 RSD. In a center of a Squere will be situated stage. Business hours - from 10 till 23h (till 02h on New Year's Eve).

 

Belgrade will organize a lot of programs at The open heart street at Svetogorska. Also, Belgrade will be decorated with new decorative lighting, in Boulevard of Kralj Aleksandar, at Kralja Milana Street and Knez Mihailova Street.

Tourist Organization of Belgrade (TOB) says that in New Year's Eve is expected the arrival of 10.000-15.000 tourists, mostly from the former states of Jugoslavija. TOB will organize city tours by bus with explanations on serbian and english language. Special tours are planned every half hour from Trg republike to Slavija by open bus.
